Womens Ministry
Currently ICM through woman to woman ministry offers educational classes on various topics including contraception, Hygiene, and Christian evangelism
The women who are trained as interns are sent to the neighboring villages to teach and pray with other women.
Looking through the lens of hunger and poverty, there are seven major areas of discrimination against women in India:Malnutrition, Poor Health, Lack of education, Overwork, Unskilled, Mistreatment, and Powerlessness. Some of the environmental and social imbalances occurring among the women in India are the following:
-
India's maternal mortality rates in rural areas are among the highest in the world. A factor that contributes to India's high maternal mortality rate is the reluctance to seek medical care for pregnancy.
-
Women's health is harmed by lack of access to and the poor quality of reproductive services.
-
Women have unequal access to resources.
-
Violence against women and girls is the most pervasive human rights violation in the world today.
Future Goals: As funds become available
-
ICM hopes to have a department aimed for Women's Health through the Medical Center, once it is built.
-
ICM hopes to open a Multi-purpose training center to educate women and train them in various vocational training to help them get better jobs.
-
ICM hopes to open a Women's Bible College to train women for pastoral ministry.
